Guaranty Trust Bank…Making a Difference
The Bank launched a Street Directional Signage (SDS) initiative in 2005 as a means of supporting the urban and regional planning efforts of the Federal and State governments. These signages were designed to show commuters and pedestrians the names of streets where they find themselves. Presently the Bank has installed and maintains several SDSs along expressways and roads in all States of the Federation with the exception of Lagos State.
An extension of this programme is the recently introduced GTBank environment beautification initiative. Under this scheme, the Bank proposes to beautify and maintain roundabouts and other outdoor recreational facilities nationwide in partnership with State Governments.
The Bank already maintains Mcdonald Roundabout Ikoyi and just concluded the renovation of the Murtala Mohammed Way Roundabout in Kano.
