To access GTBank Mobile Money:
Register
You can access this service in 2 simple ways:
- Obtain a SIM with the Mobile Money SIM Tool Kit already installed (Only Etisalat SIMs comes with this menu for now).
To Register
1. Open the app on your phone
- On Etisalat network, click the SIM icon or go to the SIM menu and select the GTBank icon from within the Easy Wallet menu
- For smartphones, locate the GTBank icon
2. Click on “Register” and provide the required input for the fields labelled: First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth.
3. After submitting the provided information, you will receive a text message containing a 6-digit activation code
To Activate
- Open the GTBank Mobile Money app and click on “Activate”.
- Enter the 6-digit activation token (e.g. 123456) from the text message
- Choose a four digit account PIN e.g. 4357; Repeat the PIN to confirm that you entered it correctly the first time.
- You will receive a welcome text message from GTBank. Your Mobile Money account is ready for use.
Fund
ToTTTo deposit money into your Mobile Wallet:
- Transfer money to self from the app where your GTBank account has been linked to your Mobile Wallet
- From other bank accounts, you can transfer either through NIPS transfer or via Quickteller portal at www.quickteller.com/gtmobilemoney. (Quickteller can also be accessed from enabled ATMs)
- Transfer from Mobile Money enabled Point of Sale (POS) terminals with the FUND WALLET menu
Send
1. To send money to a registered GTBank Mobile Money subscribers
- For smartphones, log on to your Mobile Money Wallet by inputting your phone number and your PIN on the app. For SIM Tool Kit, select EasyWallet
- Select “Send Money”. The options available include: send money to “self” i.e. bank to wallet or wallet to bank and send money to “others”
- If sending to others, type the receiver’s mobile phone number, enter the amount to be sent; enter your Mobile Wallet PIN and submit
- Confirm the details before final submission
- You will receive a message on your phone confirming the completion of the transaction
2. To Send Money to unregistered GTBank Mobile Money subscribers
- Log in to your Mobile Wallet inputting your phone number and your pin.
- Select “Send Money”
- Two Options will be displayed :Select “Others”, and then “Wallet”
- Select “To Unregistered Phone”
- Type the receiver’s mobile phone number
- Enter the amount to be sent
- Provide the beneficiary’s first name and last name in their respective fields
- Enter your Mobile Wallet PIN
- Confirm the details supplied
- You will receive a message on your phone confirming the completion of the transaction
- The beneficiary would also receive a message stating the code to use in cashing out the funds from GTBank ATMs
Withdraw
To enable cash-out from your account via ATM
- Log on to your account on the Mobile Money app. Or Select “My Account” on the SIM menu
- Select Cash Out
- Then Select “From ATM”
- Type the amount you wish to withdraw and enter your Mobile Wallet PIN
- You would get a message with a 12-digit Fund Access Code (FAC) that would enable you cash out from any GTBank ATM
- Select ‘Cardless Withdrawal’
- Enter the Amount, your Phone Number, The Fund Access Code (FAC) and your Account PIN
- Your cash is dispensed
Upgrade
To enjoy more services you can upgrade from the GTBank Mobile Money (lite) to either Plus or Max. You can do this through the following means:
- Via internet banking
- By visiting GTBank Branches
Mobile Money Lite (The Un-banked): This service allows you carry out a maximum single transaction of N3,000 and a daily limit of N30,000.00. At this level, you are not required to have a GTBank account to enjoy these benefits. All that is required is Your Name, Your Phone Number and Date of Birth.
Mobile Money Plus (The Semi-banked): This service allows you carry out a maximum single transaction of N10,000 and a daily limit of N100,000. For this level of service, a GTBank savings account has to be linked to the Mobile Wallet.
Mobile Money Max (The Fully Banked): This service allows you carry out a maximum single transaction of N100,000 and a daily limit of N150,000.00. Additional information is required for this variant; therefore, linking a GTBank current account will suffice.

Answer: Mobile Money is a convenient, fast, secure, and affordable way of transferring money to friends and family using a mobile phone.
2. Question: Who can use the Mobile Money Service?
Answer: GTBank MobileMoney service is available to everyone with a phone. Non-phone users can also use the service to receive money transferred from registered GTBank MobileMoney customers.
3. Question: Do I need to have a bank account to use GTBank Mobile Money?
Answer: No, you do not need an account to use GTBank MobileMoney. However, if you have a GTBank account it can be linked to your Mobile Wallet to make your account-wallet transfers seamless.
4. Question: Where can I download and register for the service?
Answer: You can download the app for smartphones from Blackberry App World, Nokia Ovi, iTunes Store for iPhones & Google Play for Android or access it via EasyWallet from within the Etisalat SIM, after which you can register for the service
5. Question: Will my phone support GTBank Mobile Money?
Answer: As long as it is a mobile phone that has either SMS or GPRS services, your phone will support GTBank MobileMoney. We have designed GTBank Mobile Money to work across all mobile phone handsets, from the most basic to the most advanced. If your mobile phone supports Java, you can use GTBank Mobile Money through the GPRS service of your mobile service provider. If it does not, you can use this service via USSD. All channels are equally safe and easy to use.
7. Question: Where is the money that is deposited into a Mobile Money account?
Answer: The money is domiciled at GTBank
8. Question: How do I withdraw money from my Mobile Money account?
Answer: You can do this through a cardless ATM withdrawal

Answer: You require a 12-digit code which you would have generated from your Mobile Money menu on your phone, the amount you wish to withdraw, your phone number and your Mobile Wallet PIN.
10. Question: How do I keep my MobileMoney Account secure?
Answer: You need to keep your Account PIN secret from others. Memorize your Mobile Wallet PIN and do not write it down or place the PIN in and around your phone. Never give away your PIN. If you have reasons to believe your PIN has been compromised, you can change it from the Mobile Money menu.
